Jeremy Deller’s English Magic fundraising event – just the ticket

Exclusive evening reception at the William Morris Gallery with private view of English Magic, Thursday 13 March 2014, 7-9pm.

If you haven’t had the chance to see Deller’s English Magic exhibition before it moves to Bristol for the second stop of its UK tour, all is not lost.

Tickets are being sold for an exclusive private view and charity event on 13 March, during which you’ll have the chance to bid for an exclusive piece of signed Deller merchandise and other items, while raising money for a good cause.

English Magic was Deller’s exhibition for the British Pavilion at the 55th International Art Exhibition in 2013 – La Biennale di Venezia, commissioned by the British Council. It is currently on its first stop of a UK tour – supported by the Art Fund – at the William Morris Gallery, in Walthamstow.

Visitors to the private view will have the chance to see Deller’s work, with canapés and a glass of bubbly, and bid for a range of exclusive items in an auction to raise money for charity, before the show moves to Bristol at the end of March.

First time visitors to the William Morris Gallery will find the English Magic exhibition displayed amongst works and artefacts once produced and owned by Morris himself, the radical Victorian craftsman who once lived in the very building that is now home to the Gallery and was a huge inspiration for English Magic.

Event details are as follows:
