Minute's Silence on Friday

We would like to advise residents that they would be welcome to join in the national minute’s silence at noon this Friday (3rd July), in the Town Hall grounds to remember the victims of last week’s tragic terror attacks in Tunisia, France and Kuwait.

Councillors, staff and residents will be present and minute’s silence will be held at the flagpole outside the Town Hall.  Please note all those wishing to attend need to be in position by 11.55 at the latest.  Unfortunately we are not able to provide parking for residents inside the Town Hall grounds on the day. Proceedings will be led by Leader of the Council Chris Robbins and Cllr Saima Mahmud, Mayor of Waltham Forest.

Council Leader Chris Robbins said: "These attacks have tragically claimed the lives
of dozens of innocent people, all of whom are in our thoughts. Our deepest
condolences go out to all of the families and friends who lost loved ones."
