Commemorative ceremony this evening following terrorist attacks

I would like to invite you to attend a commemorative event this evening which is taking place at 7.30pm at Waltham Forest Town Hall.

Following the strength of feeling from the local community we will be holding this event so that the borough can express its condolences to the victims and their families following the series of terrorist attacks that took place in Paris on Friday 13 November.

Like me, I am sure that you were shocked to hear of the horrific events that unfolded in the city and we want to ensure that our residents are given an opportunity to send their condolences and solidarity to the everybody affected. We have also opened a Book of Condolence in the Town Hall so that you can add your messages of support.

Our thoughts continue to be with the families and friends of the victims who were killed and injured during this attack as well as everyone who has been affected by terrorist attacks across the world particular those that took place recently in Nigeria and Beirut.

The commemorative event takes place this evening, Monday, 16 November at 7.30pm at Waltham Forest Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17 4JF. Tea and coffee will be served after the event. Please note the car park will be closed for this event.
