Art comes alive at William Morris Gallery’s family day

Walthamstow’s William Morris Gallery will be celebrating the start of spring with an afternoon of free family activities this Saturday 26 March.

As plants and animals burst into life outside in Lloyd Park, children can explore William Morris’s love of nature by making a vegetable print picture, drawing from nature or making their own embroidery. The packed programme will be led by local illustrator and picture book creator Phoebe Swan.

Rebecca Jacobs, the William Morris Gallery’s cultural programme officer, said:

“The William Morris Gallery is a great, free day out for all the family and this Easter Family Day is packed full of art and craft activities to keep the kids entertained.”

The event is free and there is no need to book. Family Day: Art Alive is part of the William Morris Gallery’s regular Family Day programme. Family Days take place on the last Saturday of the month from 1pm to 4pm.
