'Fright Feast' Arrives for Halloween

A spook-tacular Halloween themed street market is coming to Walthamstow Town Square on Friday 28 October.

‘Fright Feast’ is being organised by Feast Forum, who ran the successful Night Feast street markets in the Town Square over the summer and was  commended for its unique local flavour, community and family-oriented feel. The events are supported by Waltham Forest Council and the Mayor of London.

The aim of Fright Feast is to bring the community together for a night of family Halloween fun and give everyone a chance to dress up in their spooky costumes in a safe space.

There will be a Halloween fashion show with prizes for best dressed child and adult as well as the usual array of delicious street food and drinks. There will also be Halloween treats, face painting and entertainment.

Cllr Clare Coghill, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and High Streets said: “Fright Feast will be a fantastic event and a great opportunity for families to get together and enjoy some Halloween fun in the local community. The Night Feast events in the summer drew some great crowds, so it’s great to have Feast Forum coming for what I’m sure will be another brilliant evening.”

Chris Evans, event organiser, said: “We’re looking forward to returning to this great public space and allowing everyone to show their devilish side. Halloween is the perfect opportunity for everyone to let their hair down, or up, and is a great excuse for a party.”

Fright Feast will run from 5pm till late in the Town Square, opposite the big screen.

Local groups and businesses interested in getting involved in Night Feast are welcome to get in touch with Chris Evans by emailing nightfeast17@gmail.com.
